About the job

As a substitute music educator in the Finspång parish, you will have a central role in the parish's music life. Your main tasks include:

• Leading a children's choir and an adult choir
• Participating in the work with the parish's confirmands
• Playing at baptisms, weddings, and funerals
• Playing at services

You will be part of an engaged team consisting of three other musicians, two priests, two deacons, three caretakers, and the head of worship and diaconia. Together, you will work to create a vibrant and inspiring worship life in the Finspång parish, where collaboration and community are important building blocks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in music or another relevant education that the employer deems equivalent, such as church musician training at least at C-level.
• Experience playing piano and organ
• Experience leading choirs
• Driver's license and access to a personal vehicle

Membership in the Church of Sweden is required for the position.

About the parish

The Finspång parish consists of the parishes of Risinge, with the locality of Finspång, Hällestad, Regna, and Skedevi with the locality of Rejmyre. In the Finspång parish, there is also a cemetery administration that manages the work with all cemeteries and chapels. Together, the Church of Sweden in Finspång consists of about 13,000 members, six churches, seven cemeteries, two chapels, and three parish homes and other activity venues. There is also Café Mariagården, a meeting place for everyone.
